Benefit Performance at Honen-in Temple, Kyoto

In the 8th year after the earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku area the Honen-in Sanga organizes twice a year this charity event to support affected families and reconstruction work.

This May the Kyoto Indian Arts Sangam was again invited to distribute Odissi and Bharatnatyam Dance to the event. Like in November 17 there was a Odissi Dance performance by Miki Nonaka and Kamala Klebanova as well as a Bharatnatyam performance by Michiko Kanazawa.

This time, Kamala presented a new Odissi choreography from the reputed Guru Sangeeta Dash (recipient of Sangeeta Natak Academy Award).
